Leonardo da Vinci 3D

I made this sculpture of the great inventor and artist Leonardo da Vinci two years ago with ZBrush. I think I thought on him yesterday because he had some similarities to Santa Claus. :D So before he will get more dusty on my harddrive I decided to retexture him and use the model as my first contribution on Sketchfab. I hope you like it.

Frohe Weihnachten

Now I have the time to post some new stuff I've made during the last month. It was a time of new challenges and a bunch of work has to be done. The first point is I work as an ZBrush lecturer on a private school for Gamedesign in Leipzig since october. It's great there and the students are really nice and creative. And the second point is I work hardly on a animated short at the time with some great dudes - more on this later.

The following works are made in my restricted spare time between that both. I hope you like it.

Der Illustrationsautomat hat wieder für jeden Tag des Jahres eine poetische oder witzige, ernste oder unterhaltende, lustige oder listige Zeichnung parat. Entstanden sind die spontanen Bilder in nur wenigen Minuten bei Live-Aktionen des ILLUMAT aus den Wünschen und Ideen seines Publikums. Herz und Hand des charmanten Automaten sind Illustratoren aus Weimar.

Dieser Abreißkalender zeigt euch eine Auswahl mit den Besten der Bilder und Wunschideen eines Jahres!

Als kleines Special durch das Jahr gibt es zahlreiche Sondertage zu entdecken,
 z.B. den »Tag der verlorenen Socke«, den »Tag der Tiefkühlkost« oder den
 »Stell-dich-deinen-Ängsten-Tag«.

Metzger Wines

In cooperation with Stauffer - Medien & IT I made some illustrations for different wine etiquettes.

A winemaker named Metzger (german for butcher) commissioned us to uplift their former designs.

Drink`N`Ride

My first job was to integrate the vintner himself into the label.

"Drink'N'Ride is a sweet and nonalcoholic secco.

(the cow was given and is based on the first corporate design made by Buero Medienagenten)

Dry Aged

The second illustration was for a well seasoned wine which is called "Dry-Aged".

The task was to show the vintner in the fictional pose of pushing some hanged wine barrels like a real butcher would do to make Dry-aged beef.

Pinot-Tauren

The "Pinot-Tauren"(Tauren; german plural for taurus) is Metzger's trinity of Pinot Noirs. Every wine is from various sites and is grown on different soil.

So the task was to communicate this distinction through the bulls' poses and expressions.

Illumat Selection

I have new tiny pictures from out of our box.

We had so many actions in the last month with our illustration machine all over Germany and sometimes in other european countries too.

Every picture is based on the peoples wishes, they are entirely imaginative and created within a 10 minutes time frame.
