Necromancer

A friend of mine created in her youth a folder full of characters and creatures together with her brother. She was only 12 years old when she was the art director of her 6 years older brother. His drawings are so nice, they pour on the charm of the 90s-era.

I could not resist to draw some redesigns from her characters.

Collinsium ciliosum

This is my try on a reconstruction of Collinsium Ciliosum. A newly discovered ancient ‘superarmored’ worm-like creature. It is also known as the Hairy Collins’ Monster an it's a cousin of Hallucigenia. They lived in what is now China during the early Cambrian, about 500 million years ago.

The 30 legged creature measuring no more than four inches (10cm) in length.

I like these little guys so much.

Schlaraffenland

'Schlaraffenland' - the personified 'land of milk and honey' is on the lookout for someone who found the way in his world.

This illustration is my contribution to a volume of poetry about food. The book will be released in near future.

After I sketched the idea I started to sculpt it. Later I painted the outlines and the background. So this is a mix between 2D and 3D techniques.

Lowpoly Character 'Mellory'

This character based on a concept created by my friend Maria Suckert. She is a multi-talented illustrator and it's funny to transfer her concepts into the third dimension.

I hope you like this girl. :)

Male Bust

I spent a few days with my girlfriend in Nuremberg. I'm highly inspired. The museums, monuments, cathedrals are amazing. So I sculpted this (random) bust on my tablet while we drove home by bus to process all of the incoming material in my head. :)

Some Paintings

Here are some new paintings I've made in my spare time. I drew them on my Surface Pro 2 Tablet with Sketchbook Pro. The first few were finished on my desktop PC with Photoshop.

Hope you like them.
