Monju Hunters of Sōfugan Island - Russian Version

Now here it is the Russian version of our short film "Monju Hunters of Sōfugan Island". I don't understand a word, but I love this synchro version so much. :) It somehow adds a new layer of authenticity to the whole thing. Many thanks to Futuroom_Show for making this possible!!! Kudos to the great voice actor!

A Sacrifice for Dagon

This is my latest painting. It is inspired by the Cthulhu myth of HP Lovecraft as well as a little homage to the golden age of fantasy illustration and of course inspired by representatives like Frazetta or Vallejo and some others. It is based on a pencil sketch from one of my sketchbooks (last picture).

Alicanto

A mechanical, gold-seeking Alicanto bird made by a dwarf smith... or something like that. 😆 Digital painting in Photoshop over a scanned pencil sketch.

Deathbird

A little personal painting so I don't get rusty. I wanted to give some color to a creature from my sketchbook. It would be possible to go further with the rendering, but I think I've captured the idea. Maybe I'll build it in 3d if time permits.

Troll

I was in Norway in April. I drew this on the outward flight. Breathtaking landscapes there and great myths.

NPR Experiments with ZBrush2019

As the title says, I did some experiments with the new NPR rendering features of ZBrush2019 this weekend. I played with various self-created seamless textures to create a analog looking style. I hope you like it.

Sculptjanuary 2019 Contributions

The year started very productive for me, because I took part in the Sculptjanuary 2019 one more time.

The last time I took part was in January 2017. It is a competition in which artists who work sculpturally receive a new theme every day of the month, which they then convert into modelled form, analogue or digital.

Because of too much work and 3 days at the toy fair in Nuremberg I was not able to finish all 31 entries for Sculptjanuary19 satifactorily. Nevertheless, I am proud of the 26 pieces that I have created this month.

Here are my contributions:

Day 1 - Deep Sea (Beast)

Day 2 - Delight (Mood)

Day 3 - Chest (Body)

Day 4 - Rotten (Attribute)

'The Poisoned Meal'

Day 5 - Spherical (Object)
